Both cottages are located in the picturesque fishing village of Findochty, on the North East coast of Scotland. Situated equi distance between Inverness and Aberdeen it makes an excellent base for exploring the highlands, the many whisky distilleries, or just relaxing and watching for dolphins.
Our cosy 2 bedroom fisherman’s cottage is a stone’s throw from a small, secluded sandy beach, a short walk from a larger sandy beach and within easy walking distance of the harbour. Our larger family cottage sleeps six and has fantastic views over looking the harbour and across the Moray Firth. The paved garden is a perfect spot for dolphin watching – they are seen regularly along this coastline during the summer months.
The village has an excellent pub; The Admirals, as well as a chemist with post office, local store and hairdressers. Findochty (locally pronounced Finechty) oozes character. Wander around the higgledy piggledy narrow streets with the many multi-coloured houses to appreciate the real charm of this traditional Scottish village.
We love Findochty, we think you will too.
